We are not big believers that alpha could be generated based on initial portfolio construction alone.

Our philosophy is based on active portfolio management where alpha can be generated by allocating capital to the portfolio companies in follow-on rounds, and it includes working to get exits, however, we are not obsessed about exiting as the right idea will have many options for exit. We believe that our ability to remain objective and focus on target returns, ownership and follow-on investing based to thematic, and data driven models gives us a sustainable advantage as an emerging manager.

We look for sectors that are ripe for disruption and identify companies within these sectors that have the ability to disrupt, grow and maintain a pricing power for a period of time shorter than the time it will take large competitors to crowd them out. Our sector focus is driven by our view that the rising tide will lift the boat.

We also maintain a competitive advantage by incubating companies from scratch if we believe in the team and the idea.

With market size and opportunities in mind, we look for teams with leadership qualities and technical abilities with ideas to meet market needs and customers’ demands.

However, we are disciplined but not dogmatic in our investment thesis, and we take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves to us.
